We have had many care proffessionals visit Welwyn Grange and here is some of their post-visit feedback:
“Today, I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Welwyn Grange Care Home, part of the Ardale group – a care provider I’ve admired because of their openness and transparency since the early days of founding Care Campaign for the Vulnerable. I was also delighted to have accompany me Geri Connery, CCTV, our partner ERA Group – EMEA Paul Gravatt and Alex Venner as well as James Davies Care Home Magazine
There is little I can say about this provider that I haven’t expressed before. From the moment you walk through the door, you are met with a palpable sense of calm and dignity. It’s clear to see just how much care and thought is poured into creating not just a safe environment, but a genuinely nurturing one.
The team are a credit to the organisation-dedicated to quality, openness, and most importantly, to the people they care for. On behalf of Care Campaign for the Vulnerable, I would like to extend my warmest thanks to everyone at Welwyn Grange for your hospitality today. While we always enjoy walking through such beautifully presented homes, what stands out most is your forward-thinking embrace of technology to enhance safety and wellbeing for both residents and dedicated staff.
It is this kind of leadership that helps inspire positive change across the whole care.”

“Wow – simply wow!
If Carlsberg did care homes, they’d probably build Welwyn Grange Il and staff it with clones of the Ardale team.
Until my visit today I had no idea care homes like this existed.
The initial wow factor is the building, furnishings and facilities – but the lasting impression is made by the amazing senior leadership team and care staff.
Thank you Jayne and Geri for inviting us to join you and especially to Robert Myers Ollie, Allene and the team for your hospitality, transparency and above all passion for providing the best possible care and experience for your residents.
Alex and I were honoured to be your guests, see close up how you mitigate risk – in particular with the discreet use of CCTV and other tech
– and place quality of care at the centre of everything you do.
It’s so refreshing to see such a fantastic positive example, when the mass media seem to report only negativity and sensationalism in the care sector.
Brilliant work and congratulations to all at Ardale.”
